This policy explains what OrbSend processes in its temporary email and forwarding alias services, how long data is retained, when it is deleted, and how you can make a request. Effective date: August 28, 2026.
Forwarding aliases
Sign in with a verification code; address settings and the receiving mailbox are retained while the account is active.
Email archive
Forwarded emails are kept for up to 30 days, then removed from the online archive.

1. Scope
This policy applies to temporary inboxes, forwarding aliases, 30-day archives, and support services directly related to these features on orbsend.com. Third-party sender websites, email clients, and external links you access through email have their own policies; OrbSend does not control their data processing.
2. Data we collect
When you use temporary email, we process the random address, access token, expiration time, and message content delivered to that address. When you use forwarding, we also process your login email, the aliases you create, their active or paused status, forwarding results, and necessary account-security settings.
3. Data we do not require
Creating a temporary email does not require your name, password, phone number, or payment details. Please do not voluntarily send sensitive identity information, medical records, government IDs, or financial credentials to a temporary address, as the product is not designed to store such data long term.
4. Purposes of processing
We use data to create addresses, receive and display messages, forward incoming mail, maintain archives, carry out user actions, and provide support. We also use limited technical records for rate limiting, abuse prevention, delivery diagnosis, and service-security investigations, but we do not build advertising profiles from email content.
5. Legal bases
Processing is necessary to provide the inbox and forwarding features you request. Security logs, fraud prevention, and service reliability are based on legitimate interests in maintaining system and user security; where required by law, we also fulfill our legal obligations.
6. Email content
The system must briefly process message bodies, subject lines, sender details, and attachment metadata to display or forward content. HTML emails in temporary mailboxes are rendered in a restricted frame, but you should still treat unknown links and attachments as untrusted content.
7. Retention and deletion
A temporary mailbox exists for no more than 24 hours from creation and should not be treated as a recoverable account after expiration. Forwarding archives are retained for up to 30 days; deleting an alias stops that identity from receiving new mail, but security backups may be cleared later within a limited rotation period.
8. Data sharing
We disclose data to restricted service providers only to the extent necessary for hosting, delivery, monitoring, and support. We do not sell personal information or allow third parties to use your email content for their own advertising purposes.
9. International processing
Internet email routing may send data through infrastructure outside your region. Where required by applicable law, we use contractual safeguards, access restrictions, and transfer protections to govern this processing.
10. Security measures
We use encryption in transit, least-privilege access, session tokens, rate limiting, and optional two-step verification to reduce risk. No online service can promise absolute security, so important account recovery and long-term records should not depend on temporary email.
11. Your choices and rights
You can change a temporary address, delete an alias, pause forwarding, clear visible records, or end a session. Depending on local law, you may also have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to processing; we may ask you to verify control of the relevant receiving mailbox.
12. Children
The service is not intended for children below the minimum digital age of consent under applicable local law. If a guardian believes a child submitted personal data without permission, please contact support; we will investigate and take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Legal requests
We respond to government or law-enforcement requests only when they are valid, binding, and appropriately scoped. Where legally permitted, we narrow overbroad requests and notify affected users unless prohibited.
14. Changes and contact
If features, retention periods, or legal requirements change materially, we will update the effective date on this page and provide notice in an appropriate manner. Send privacy questions or rights requests to support@orbsend.com, and specify whether they concern temporary email or a forwarding account.
